San Diego pest control

We California's top experts in rodent control. We are not a typical San Diego rat removal or pest control company. We don't treat rats or mice like insects, because they are not - they are mammals! You can't just use poison to get rid of them, like you can with insects. Unlike most San Diego pest control, we focus on complete and permanent solutions. We don't just use poison every month. We solve your rodent problem forever, by following these steps:

  • Inspect the entire house, ground to roof, and the attic
  • Seal shut all entry areas, no matter how small, with steel
  • Set a dozen or more rat or mouse traps in the house and attic
  • Remove all rodents as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more caught, we're done
  • When necessary, we clean rodent droppings, replace insulation, and repair chewed electric wires

San Diego Rodent Removal Tip:

Do rats jump? How high or how far?
There isn't much that a rat can't do. They're already known to chew almost every material that could be put in front of them, and they're experts at breaking-and-entering too, whether this is a residential or commercial property. They can eat anything, live anywhere and, in many cases, co-exist with humans without detection for long periods of time.

Once you have a rat in your home, it will only be a matter of time before it manages to get everywhere. It can jump higher than you'd think for an animal so small, so this makes your stairs no problem for the rodent. They're good at climbing too. As long as they have a textured surface that they can cling on to with their sharp and long nails, they're good to go. They can quite literally get anywhere and everywhere they want to.

If a rat were in your garden, looking up at your home, there are probably plenty of ways in which it could gain access. We commonly associate rats with holes and patches of damage that are closer to the ground, but they can actually get in high-up places too, with a little assistance from something like an overhanging tree branch, or maybe even a high wooden fence panel.

rodent trapping If the rat were to jump horizontally, it could probably cross a distance of four feet with a bit of a run up or some leverage. If the rat were to jump down, it would more than likely survive, whatever the fall. Rats have been shown to be able to fall for fifty feet without any injury whatsoever, in repeated cases.

If the rat is on a flat surface, looking to jump up in the air, it could more than likely reach a platform that was three or four feet above it. This could easily be the gap between the fence panel and a windowsill, and that windowsill is only a two-foot gap from the roof. Once the rat is on the roof, there are plenty of places that are usually damaged. If you haven't performed regular inspections on your building, there's a good chance that you have rat-hole sized patches of damage in your roof too.
